Enjoy one on one attention from our instructor Cathy Huntoon as you draw or paint portraits, trees, landscapes, figures, fashions, Manga.  This will be your own, personal time to work on whatever you choose with professional guidance of Cathy.

Explore drawing and shading with graphite and/or learn colored pencil techniques.  We will discuss and do exercises in color theory, mixing and blending.  Also, we will design a composition and execute it.  For adult coloring book users, this class will offer ideas for increasing your creativity.  All levels welcome.  Information sheets and reference photos provided (or work from your own).

CALLIGRAPHY – 4 SESSIONS   Ralph Rinaldi   $65.00

The purpose of this class is to give an appreciation of and to instruct students to one form of calligraphy “Renaissance Italic.” Each class session will have different exercises using a felt tip pen. The area of concentration during this session will stress using all 26 letters of the alphabet in lower case. Concentration of the alphabet in  upper case will be taught in the next 4-week session.

“FULL SPECTRUM” OF COLORED PENCILS – TWO 3-HOUR SESSIONS

Learn to use colored pencils like you never thought possible!  Dean will demonstrate various techniques in layering, burnishing and blending with a focus on highlight and shadow effects, and how they apply to the different elements of still life and portraiture.  He will also discuss the importance of good photo reference, opposition and mechanical drawing as well as digital editing.  Specific projects for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.  Projects for beginners include blending, layering, color matching and color removal techniques.  Intermediate projects will be based on textures such as glass, wood, fabric, great and copper metal.  Advanced exercises will focus on portrait and landscape.  You can bring a drawing of your own and Dean will help you along!

AIRBRUSH ONE-DAY WORKSHOP  Janet Sandow   $65.00*

PRIVATE LESSONS: $50.00/HOUR-2-HOUR MINIMUM

For the beginner and advanced airbrush user.  First-time users will learn to tear-down and re-assemble the airbrush gun and how to choose the correct paints and supplies.  Learn layering of color, shading and design styles, how to cut a frisket stencil and alternative methods of masking.  For returning students, Janet has 3 different projects of varying degree (Ask for supply list when registering)
